As more and more services populate our lives, why not introduce a
standard mechanism for browsers to 'like' content.
Social networks such as Twitter and Facebook seem to dominate our interaction with other humans now. We've grown accustomed to 'like'-ing things that we have an interest in, which then in turn is broadcast to people we deem worthy of having intimate access to our lives.
Imagine if we could upscale this interaction to a bigger area. Picture a bus ride into your City. You enjoy the bus ride that much, on your way off the bus you take out your mobile device and scan a QR code on the bus which in turn processes a 'like' for your Facebook account. Fast, simple and efficient methods of liking objects, people and places would increase the level of interaction to another level.
Along with this level of QR interaction I think a virtual protocol such as like:// should be employed by browsers and mobile devices that feeds clicked content into a users chosen service.

Scanning the QR Code below will take you automatically to Facebook and like the URL encoded in the message. This could be used in advertising, cataloguing or any other object.
The possibilities are endless when you imagine being able to 'like' a historical statue while you're out in town, or a shop, restaurant or anything else you can think of.
