The StokeTraffic system provides near real time traffic, accident and road conditions for the people living in and around Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England. The system is quite simplistic in nature and sources data from local news services and the Highways Agency. If you're interested in using this service you can follow via Twitter at twitter.com/stoketraffic.

I do have plans to extend the service into a local number you can call which will then relay the most recent traffic news to you and also an SMS service to relay the latest traffic information to you. I'm still working on a successful business model to support that side of the project so for the time being it's limited to the Twitter service.
